The Simple Art of Breathing Better
You already breathe about 20,000 times a day. Pranayama is simply learning to do it on purpose — one of the easiest ways to feel calmer, clearer, and more energized. You can start today.
What it is
It is the ancient yogic practice of guiding your breath on purpose — slowing it, deepening it, and noticing it.
That's it. No special equipment. No experience needed. Just a few quiet minutes and the breath you already have.
Why try it
Ease stress and quiet anxiety.
Boost vitality and sharpen attention.
Sleep better and breathe more fully.
Bring a little stillness into a busy day.
Try it now
Follow the circle as it grows and settles. In for four, hold, out for four, hold.

The cycle
Each full breath flows through four stages, then begins again — a quiet, continuous loop.
Inhalation
Inhale through the nose, smooth and full.
Full retention
Hold the air gently in the lungs.
Exhalation
Exhale through the nose, slowly.
Empty retention
Rest with a minimum of air in the lungs.
Some beginners may feel different kinds of discomfort. Respect your own supportable limit, especially when practicing alone or without an instructor.
